Week 4

This week was very productive. I had a mix of feelings doing my tasks. I felt nervous, excited, happy, worried, etc.

The article “Three Extensive Reading Activities for ESL/EFL Students Using E-books” by Mei-Ya Liang gave me a clear idea about how to encourage my students for the reading because the majority of them don’t like reading, but now I know some tips.

I felt scared when I had to create a lesson plan with technology. I have never done that before however thanks to information from the article “Lesson Plans” form the Innovative Technology Center at the University of Tennessee I could order my ideas. I hope to do it well. All these steps are useful in order to have my project outline.

In conclusion, the more tasks I do the more curious I feel. It’s amazing how useful is becoming this webskill course!

I’m lucky to be part of a great group!

Week 3

Since I started this great course on line, each week I learn more and more.

I know that listening is the most useful skill to develop the language. I didn’t know this fact. After reading Lindsay Miller’s article, I realized how important is the listening skill as well as the use of authentic materials. Thanks to my colleagues advice I could find out some sites to improve my classes. I’m going to try these sites in order to practice with my students the authentic listening materials. I’m sure they will enjoy this new way of learning.

On the other hand, Joanna Zubel’s project report helped me a lot with my future project due to the fact that we have some points in common. From her experience I could evidence the possible situations that I will face up. This task was excellent because right now I have the idea about we’ll do for the final project.

Finally, creating Delicious account was a nice experience. This is my first account in Delicious and it’s terrific! I bookmarked every site that I found interesting. I shared with my colleagues useful information and we interchanged some sites. In short, what a wonderful week I’ve learned lots of things!

Week 2

“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.” Benjamin Franklin.
I couldn’t start my reflection without sharing this quote!
This week has been very useful and rewarding. The more I learn from this course the better I feel. Thanks to my colleges’ suggestions, I found out that google is not the only way to search information. There are lots of search engines that can help you to find any specific information.

On the other hand, I was so nervous when I had to write my class objective. As I told Helo I always have difficulty creating objectives. I don’t know why but I suppose is because I don’t have enough experience in this field. However, after reading about ABCD method the things turned easier.

I feel great!!!

I’m discovering and learning new things about using a blog!
It’s a nice way to keep in touch with people. I’m gonna use this way of technology with my students in the future. It’s a great tool to take advantage in teaching and learning that’s for sure.
